Communication

Council and deliberation generate ideas greater than any one individual or organization. Our goal is to see the community members, businesses, educational institutions and landowners work together to develop a proposal for protecting, sustaining and developing our beautiful mountain regions.

Forward Thinking

The hills and mountains behind Laie have blessed generations of residents and visitors alike. Forward thinking planning will preserve access to this beautiful treasure for generations of future users. Long-term planning helps to minimize poor decisions that may permanently damage not only access to the land but the land itself.

Legacy

We have an amazing opportunity before us, even a responsibility. It's time to unbury the talents the Lord has given this community and multiply them as is expected of all responsible stewards. It's time to build a legacy that generations of our children and grandchildren will be blessed by.

Sustainability

We watch as the islands become more and more commercial. Our natural open spaces are slowly disappearing. A thoughtful, forward-thinking plan that considers not only development, but sustaining and preserving the land must be put in place, else we will unavoidably lose it.

Growth

There is nothing wrong with development. In fact we believe that the hills and mountains behind Laie have vast, untapped potential. Consider the Gunstock Ranch bike path. The community and land managers worked together to determine a need and make a simple change. Our children are safer riding to school and the path is filled with folks exercising. Imagine if we had a plan in place for responsibly developing the lands behind Laie!
